Hi there. I'm Zul, your host. Below are some information about me.

MY BACKGROUND : I went to school in Texas. I have a degree in Architecture with Design Specialization with minors in Business Management and French studies.

I learned massages in Bangkok, Thailand. I am certified and trained in Thai Traditional Massage and Thai Oil Massage

I started cooking at a very young age. I was raised by my grandmother, who was an avid cook. By  the time I was 13, I could cook almost all the Malay dishes, including desserts. During my spare time, I learned how to prepare other Asian delicacies (Thai, Chinese, Indian) as well as Western. To date, I can prepare most of the famous Asian cuisines and desserts.

I took classes in bodybuilding when I was in college. My knowledge in the subject is pretty extensive. I love to share my bodybuilding knowledge with you.

WHY I ESTABLISHED VISTA KL : I was born in a very poor family in Kuala Selangor, Malaysia,  about 2 hours away from Kuala Lumpur. The town in which I grew up is a historical place. It was the Portuguese and the Dutch port when they came and invaded Malaysia back in 1500's and 1600's. The fishermen village, built on top of the river, is very close  by. When I was a child, I used to play and catch cockles, crabs and crawfish in that river. There are dense bayou forests as well. My grandmother used to tell me scary stories regarding the forest so that I didn't go and play there. But of course, I didn't listen to her. I was quite naughty :). There are wild cranes, monkeys and fireflies everywhere. I remember chasing these cranes and monkeys as well as catching fireflies with my cousins and friends.

After high school, I received a full scholarship to further my studies in the USA. When I returned home after graduation, my birth town had been transformed. It had become one of the major tourist attractions. The government still maintains the forest, fishermen village and the fireflies. My grandma's place has been demolished, but everything else still looks the same. Most of my relatives are still in Kuala Selangor including my dad and my step mom.

I am very proud of my birth place and I love showing all my foreign friends the town. I know every inch of that town better than the tour guides the government hires to show tourists around :)

I love to travel myself. It is very frustrating to visit a foreign country when I have to rely on tourist guides and do not know anyone, not to mention, spending too much time looking for taxis and finding my way around. With Vista KL, I want to help you to discover Malaysia the way I experience it, without hassle and completely maximizing your time when you're in Kuala Lumpur.

"I want you to have a positive feeling about Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia when you leave."
